Job summary

Google is seeking a senior UX Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in Mountain View, CA. You will work across engineering and product management to transform user insights into production-ready front-end features, influencing design systems and best practices for a global audience.

In this role you will craft prototypes, mentor teams, and push the boundaries of UX engineering within a fast-paced environment that powers billions of interactions daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design setting, or a related.
• 6 years of experience in front end development or UX engineering.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Deliver innovative, engaging front-end prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies.
• Architect robust prompt engineering pipelines and middleware to ensure LLM outputs map to UI components.
• Mentor mid-to-executive engineers and designers, establishing web engineering standards and contributing to core libraries.
• Partner with team leaders to define standards and integrate changes into design systems and workflows.
• Apply inventive approaches to bridge gaps between design goals and model capabilities when standard solutions don’t exist.
