Apple is seeking a product-minded UX designer to shape high-craft UI for developer tools like Xcode. You will contribute to AI-powered developer platforms used by millions, defining direction, and translating technical requirements into delightful experiences.
You will design with a strong emphasis on craft, iteration, and collaboration with engineering and leadership to deliver compelling, trusted developer experiences.
The Developer Experience Human Interface Design team conceptualizes and designs the user experience for Apple’s developer tools. You will design for Xcode and other tools that are used by millions of developers around the world to build, test, and ship software for Apple platforms. You'll work at the frontier of one of the most significant shifts in how software is authored, empowering developers to do the best work of their lives by leveraging artificial intelligence and large language models.
We're looking for a product-minded designer who will help drive direction with the skills to design high-craft UI to bring those products to life. AI is changing what developer tools can do, and we want someone who is actively engaged with the technology — bringing clarity and direction on how to leverage capabilities that are rapidly taking shape. Our team iterates quickly, thrives on feedback, cares deeply about the details, and holds a high bar for taste. You'll pitch your work with partners and executives, build alignment across teams, and collaborate closely with engineering to bring features to life. We're looking for someone who will bring innovative ideas, foster a supportive environment, and enhance the effectiveness and cohesion of our team as we create functional and inspirational developer experiences.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
