Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking a UX Designer to craft guest-centric digital experiences across HAL’s web properties. You will design interfaces, wireframes, and prototypes while contributing to the Design System and web standards.

You’ll collaborate with UX research, analytics, marketing, and front-end developers to optimize guest experiences across desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern design tools and a solid grasp of user-experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, HCI, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe CS, Sketch).
Foundational knowledge of responsive design and accessibility (ADA/WCAG).
Understanding of HTML/CSS to collaborate with developers.

Responsibilities

UX/UI Design & Execution: create end-to-end designs, wireframes, flows, prototypes and visuals with accessibility and responsive standards.
Design Systems & Standards: build reusable components, templates and pattern libraries; document standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: align design with stakeholders and work with technical teams.
Optimization & Insights: use data and testing results to improve experiences; define success criteria.
Innovation & Brand Enablement: explore new tools and design approaches and share best practices.
