The Google User Experience (UX) Design Apprenticeship is a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program offering 18 months of structured on-the-job training, related technical instruction, and career development workshops to build professional UX skills. Apprentices are paid hourly and commit 40 hours per week to the program.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or practical experience.
Not currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree program in a design-related field.
Less than 1 year of relevant UX design experience through personal or professional projects, hobbies, or online coursework.

Responsibilities

Learn and develop entry-level skills in UX design.
Apply learnings to real projects: empathizing with users, defining pain points and needs, creating wireframes to prototypes, and testing designs.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align user and business needs and communicate designs effectively.
Practice responsible, effective, and innovative use of AI.
