Job summary

DAVEY RESOURCE GROUP, INC. is seeking a UVM Technician to inspect utility ROWs, identify vegetation work, and coordinate with crews. You’ll document results on handhelds and inform property owners about upcoming work in the Waco area.

Requires tree work experience and ISA Arborist certification (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months), pesticide license, and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and storms as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven tree work experience and knowledge of tree identification and physiology.
• ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain within 6–12 months; pesticide applicator license required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Proficient working knowledge of computers; Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Inspect distribution utility right-of-ways and assess access to ROW areas for clearance compliance.
• Identify needed tree and brush control work and coordinate with line-clearance crews.
• Document work using handheld devices and notify property owners of pending work.
• Audit contractor work and discuss access issues; perform specials projects as assigned.
• Be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and storms as needed.
