WVU Medicine is seeking a Uveitis Specialist to join the West Virginia University School of Medicine's Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will primarily practice in Morgantown, WV, providing patient care and actively involving in teaching medical students and residents.

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree, completed an Ophthalmology residency, and demonstrate expertise in Uveitis. This position requires 40 hours weekly and may involve travel to additional worksites within the region.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Completed an Ophthalmology residency program.
• Evidence of expertise in Uveitis with completion of a fellowship program or equivalent experience.
• Additional training in Medical Retina, Vitreoretinal, Cornea, Glaucoma or other areas is preferred.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Position Summary

Uveitis Specialist (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) – The West Virginia University School Eye Institute and the Department of Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the area of Uveitis.
• Actively involve in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for a state medical license.
• Completed an Ophthalmology residency program.
• Evidence of expertise in Uveitis with completion of a fellowship program or equivalent experience.

Location and Worksite

Primary practice in Morgantown, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
