Ferry County Health is seeking a Utilization Review Nurse (PRN) to review medical records and treatment plans, ensuring appropriate, cost-efficient care. This role includes coordinating discharges, reviewing authorizations, and serving as care coordinator. A flexible onsite/remote arrangement is available.
The ideal candidate is a Washington-licensed RN with current BLS; ACLS/TNCC/PALS preferred or within specified timelines. This is a safety-sensitive position with union status.
This is a union position, PRN (as needed).
The Utilization Review Nurse reviews medicalrecords and treatment plans to ensure patients receive appropriate, necessary, and cost-effective care while adhering to healthcare guidelines and policies. This position will be responsible for reviewing inpatient and outpatient authorizations. The Utilization RN will also serve as the care coordinator and discharge planner. This position can be a combination of onsite and remote work.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
