Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is seeking a Utilization Review Specialist to ensure patients receive appropriate, cost-effective care. You will review utilization, coordinate treatment, and support discharge planning in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related health field preferred.
• Current CA licensure as LCSW/LMFT/ASW or equivalent.
• Two years acute care experience and evidence-based practice knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct utilization reviews to ensure appropriate, cost-effective care.
• Coordinate treatment plans and discharge planning with an interdisciplinary team.
• Serve as liaison among patients, families, providers, insurers, and community resources.
• Educate staff on utilization practices and regulatory guidelines.
