Job summary

Fuller Hospital in South Attleboro, MA is seeking a full-time Utilization Review Coordinator to oversee the efficient use of healthcare resources by reviewing admissions and continued stay appropriateness across hospital programs.

The role requires MA licensure in RN, LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC and 1+ year in utilization management or insurance. The position is 40 hours per week in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current Massachusetts licensure as a RN, LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC
• Experience: One (1) or more years of experience in utilization management, insurance, and/or HMO organization
• Knowledge: Knowledge of growth and development principles and ability to assess data to identify patient needs across ages

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly reviews patient medical records to assess medical necessity for admissions
• Reviews the patient’s treatment to ensure appropriateness of care
• Documents criteria and reviews findings per policy, procedure, and protocols
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position
