Job summary

Veolia in North America is hiring for field roles focused on water infrastructure maintenance. The candidate will perform excavations with power and manual equipment, and install, repair, and maintain water mains, service pipes, hydrants, and valves under varying weather conditions.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, construction experience preferred, and a valid CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement or the ability to obtain within six months. Physical work is expected daily.

Job Description

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Excavation w/power and manual equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain water mains, service pipes, hydrants, valves & other maintenance as requested.

Work Environment

• Heavy physical outdoor work, all weather.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Construction experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to drive heavy automotive equipment and operate power equipment.
• Emergency stand-with a response time not to exceed 45 minutes.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training

• Must Possess Commercial Driver's License Class B with Air Brake endorsement or must obtain within 6 months of start date.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate a 90 lb. jackhammer.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $26.53 to $27.78 per hour.
