As a Utility Worker I in our Water Distribution Division, you'll be part of the essential team that keeps our city's water flowing!

What You'll Do
  • Maintain and repair water distribution systems.

  • Train to master water and sewer piping installation.

What are the requirements to be considered for this position?
  • Have a High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
  • Be willing to work on the On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours as scheduled. This will include evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  • Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol, Pulmonary Fitness (PFT), and physical capability screenings.
  • Possess a Missouri level "I" Water Distribution Certificate of Competency within 18 months of hire date.
  • Possess a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement within 12 months of hire date.
  • Finally, we prefer to have someone that has one (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled construction, maintenance tasks on water distribution and sewer collection systems or other related maintenance, mechanical or construction work.

The starting hourly wage is $20.26 per hour and will increase to $21.07 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK HOURS: Mon-Fri 7:30 Am to 4:00 Pm; Some After Hours Req

WORK LOCATION: In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
