McCain Foods USA, Inc. is seeking a Utility Worker – Fryer Pool in Wisconsin Rapids for the PM shift (6PM-6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule.

The role supports multiple production lines, performs sanitation, changeovers, and waste management while enforcing safety and quality standards. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of machine operating experience, the ability to obtain forklift certification, and comfort with data entry in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About The Role.

What you’ll be doing.

Duties

The Utility Worker – Fryer supports Prime, Specialty, and Batter production lines by relieving operators, performing sanitation duties, assisting with equipment changeovers, and managing waste totes. The role also maintains lab equipment, follows safety and quality protocols, and requires certification in multiple operator positions, forklift operation, and chemical handling. Moderate skill, initiative, care for equipment safety, and independence are essential for this position. Your day-to-day may consist of:

• Monitoring production areas and assisting operators during breaks or changeovers, including batter handling and equipment setup.
• Performing daily sanitation tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and participating in factory clean-ups.
• Managing waste totes by transporting, cleaning, inserting liners, and entering data.
• Maintaining lab equipment, completing forklift checklists, and supporting quality process initiatives.
• Promoting and adhering to company safety regulations while keeping the work area neat and orderly.

This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.

Available Shift:

PM Shift (6PM-6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule, shift differential offered.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of relevant machine operating experience required, preferably working in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification required.
• Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
• Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.
• Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.
• Pays close attention to detail, prioritizing product quality, safety, and accurate record-keeping.
• Physically capable of meeting job requirements and consistently brings a positive, team-focused attitude to work.
• Demonstrates adaptability, technical proficiency, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills while working independently or collaboratively to ensure effective and logical decision-making in diverse situations.
• Demonstrates the physical capability to bend frequently and lift heavy objects (up to 65 pounds), alongside proficiency in safely operating Powered Industrial Vehicles to support workplace operations.

Compensation Package

Starting at $26.06 USD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts
