Job summary

Stoneridge Creek Pleasanton is seeking a full-time Utility Worker to support kitchen operations in a stable, upscale senior living community. The role includes pot and dish washing, basic food prep support, and general sanitation duties.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in commercial kitchen cleaning, understands English well, and can operate dishwashing equipment. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, and retirement plan; on-site work with weekend/holiday

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans kitchen thoroughly daily, including mopping floors at designated times.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area, and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties all trash containers in kitchen into dumpster daily.
• Keeps storerooms, freezers and refrigerators clean.
• Mops floors at designated times.
• Stores food and non-food supplies, restocking provisions after deliveries.
• Limited preparations of vegetables and provisions in time of need under direct supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM. Varied Days. Weekends and holidays required.

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour + bonuses + annual pay increases

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Utility Worker performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and nonfood supplies.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

CRITICAL FUNCTION:

• This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee.
