Job summary

DAP is seeking workers for packaging and materials handling, including filling 5 and 55 gal containers, palletizing, and labeling. The role requires reading tank readings, maintaining skid count records for forklift drivers, and complying with safety rules while handling flammable and non-flammable materials.

PPE is provided and overtime may be required. Candidates must follow directions, read and distinguish symbols, and perform duties in accordance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and change tank readings on the compounding board.
• Ability to keep records of skid counts for forklift driver.
• Exposure to finished goods materials (flammable and non-flammable).
• Requires personal protective equipment (PPE) including flame resistant uniform, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, aprons, and face shield).
• The ability to see, read, distinguish letters and/or symbols.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Read and adjust tank readings on the compounding board.
• Maintain skid count records for forklift operations.
• Handle exposure to finished goods materials (flammable and non-flammable).
• Use prescribed PPE for all tasks.
• Identify letters and symbols accurately to avoid errors.
• Follow directions precisely and comply with safety rules.
• Work daily and weekend overtime as required.

Required to visually inspect articles for proper specifications (code dates, quality of boxes) and notify the Supervisor when those specifications are not metMay be required to package materials, attach label, or carton and identification of package or container. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
