Job summary

TSG Developments Investments Inc. is seeking a Utility Worker in Hallandale Beach, FL for a seasonal part-time role. You will support back-of-house operations, perform dishwashing, cleaning, and basic prep tasks under supervision and in compliance with venue standards.

The job requires ability to follow instructions, lift up to 50-75 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Prior kitchen or cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year or more of related experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to follow instructions, ability to perform assigned tasks under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino standards and policies.
• Determine and prepare appropriate concentrations of detergent and disinfectant solutions.
• Maintain clean glass racks and storage responsibilities.
• Remove garbage and cleaning containers.
• Wash dishes, cutting boards, glassware, and silverware.
• Clean all food service utensils, plates, pits, pans, etc. after each use.
• Restock line with dishware and utensils as needed in the normal course of business.
• Drain, clean and refill fryers and fryer tanks.
• Assist cooks as needed under supervision of a chef/cook.
• Perform other duties as requested by back-of-house managers.
• Clean kitchen areas before, during and after each shift including floors and equipment.

Job Overview

Performs several key back of the house cleaning routines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino standards and policies.
• Required to determine and prepare the appropriate concentrations of detergent and disinfectant solutions.
• Maintains clean glass racks and is responsible for storage.
• Removes garbage and cleaning containers.
• Washes dishes, cutting boards, glassware, and silverware.
• Clean all food service utensils, plates, pits, pans, etc. after each use.
• Replace all used items back to correct locations after each use, including restocking line with dishware and utensils or anything else required in the normal course of business.
• Draining, cleaning and re-filling of fryers, and fryer tanks.
• Assist cooks as needed, including any manual labor i.e. chopping, shredding, washing, preparing foods, while under the direct supervision of a chef/cook.
• Performs other duties as requested by back of house manager(s).
• Clean kitchen areas before, during and after each shift including but not limited to cleaning floors – swept and mopped – general and deep cleaning of equipment e.g. stoves, hoods, refrigerators, work tables, shelves, ceiling tiles, walls, etc.
