Position Summary

Caravan Facilities Management is seeking a dependable Travel Janitor to provide janitorial and facility support services at multiple customer locations throughout the Saginaw area, with occasional travel to sites in Bay City and Midland. This position requires flexibility to travel between assigned facilities, maintain high cleaning standards, and serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers, vendors, and site personnel.

The Travel Janitor is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly facilities while assisting with inventory management, quality audits, basic facility support tasks, and customer communication when site management is unavailable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties listed below are representative of the position and may not include all assigned responsibilities.

Cleaning & Facility Maintenance
  • Clean and sanitize offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, stairwells, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
  • Clean carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and other surfaces.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and workspaces.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, windows, doors, and trim.
  • Polish metal fixtures and surfaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Replenish restroom and facility supplies.
  • Replace light bulbs and report maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain building exterior appearance as required.
  • Perform seasonal duties including snow removal and minor groundskeeping.
Site Support & Customer Service
  • Travel between assigned customer locations to provide janitorial coverage and support.
  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for customers and vendors when supervisors are unavailable.
  • Conduct quality inspections and report service concerns.
  • Order and monitor janitorial inventory, consumable supplies, and paper products.
  • Coordinate vendor services and report equipment issues requiring repair.
  • Complete safety observations and assist with site safety audits.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and meeting spaces as requested.
  • Move pallets, break down cardboard, and transport small equipment or materials as needed.
Required Qualifications
Travel Requirements
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple customer locations.
  • Primary service area includes Saginaw, with occasional assignments in Bay City and Midland.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle available for daily work travel.
