Job summary

United Site Services is seeking a Service Technician to operate a company service truck and service portable restrooms at customer sites. You will drive to locations, perform servicing per safety standards, and assist customers on-site to ensure high service quality.

The role requires driving experience, a valid license, and strong safety, time management, and communication skills. Expect physical work with lifting and route adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a service truck and drive to locations to service portable restrooms and/or holding tanks.
• Perform all work duties in a safe manner per USS and DOT safety standards.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. from waist to shoulder and push/pull heavy loads as needed.
• Interact with customers on-site to ensure service standards are met.
• Adjust routes to meet customer needs and provide feedback for efficiency.
• Plan for customer toilet needs and future requirements.

Job description

Primary Purpose

The Service Technician operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and/or holding tanks. This position is the heart of our business.

Essential Functions

• Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements.
• Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries.
• Perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. In addition, perform lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. on a frequent basis during the work shift.
• Conduct portable toilet servicing to USS 8‑point service standard.
• Perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard.
• Be flexible to meet customer needs when routes must be adjusted or changed.
• Provide routing feedback to Operations Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator to be most efficient and to give the customer the best service possible.
• Strategically plan for customer needs by discussing their portable toilet needs so the customer's current and future needs are satisfied.

Physical Requirements

• Sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
• Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Repeat the same movements.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance.
• Speak clearly so customers can understand.
• Understand the speech of another person.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion.
• Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. from your waist to your shoulders.
• Lift 30 lbs. from the floor to your head.
• Crouch and squat.
• Push 100 lbs. and pull 100 lbs. horizontally.

Salary Range

$22.80 – $31.92 / hour

Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job‑related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
