Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Utility Person I in Glen Mills, PA. The role involves maintaining communications for safe workflow, assisting in maintenance, and performing labor tasks throughout quarry plants.

Expect grounds upkeep, cleaning, and occasional operation of small mobile equipment in a challenging work environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years in the aggregate industry preferred; dependability and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus.
• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment (man reach, telehandler, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong communications with all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
• Tasks may include grounds upkeep, shoveling, organization of parts.
• Assist in maintenance work and area cleanup; bulk of work.
• Perform a variety of service, inspection, or labor operations throughout the quarry or plants.
• Occasional operation of small mobile equipment.
• Will perform other duties as may be requested.
