Job summary

Job description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below;
• Sort incoming dunnage for damage, broken, torn or otherwise unusable materials and segregate/label for disposition.
• Build proper stacks of dunnage for use on downstreams. Units must be correctly stacked by number, height, weight, orientation, etc. as specified.
• Load downstream unitizing areas with dunnage and manage the dunnage inventory to avoid running out.
• Capable of operating the palletizer, wrapper, bander, etc. to ensure product is moving through per specification and in a timely manner.
• Monitor and operate the blending areas for the designated lines. Assist and alert the Utility Technician when further assistance is needed.
• Monitor the downstreams of the designated lines.
• Clear bottle jams.
• Restart downstream equipment as needed.
• Rework bottles as needed.
• Work closely with the Operator to maintain production.

EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Forklift license.

SKILLS

Required: Strong commitment to safety a must; mechanically inclined; ability to multitask and prioritize tasks; self‑motivated; work with minimal supervision; good written and verbal communication skills; and good work ethic. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously throughout the shift. Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting. Able to operate a lift truck and attain a lift truck license. Able to move and place downstream components (pallets, slip sheets, etc.).
