YCUA is seeking a Utility Technician to perform entry-level utility work, maintain facilities and grounds, and support water and wastewater operations. The role includes custodial tasks, outdoor maintenance, and basic equipment handling on site.
Responsibilities include shadowing staff in wastewater, plant operations and maintenance, and ensuring logs and safety practices are followed. An H.S. diploma or GED and a valid Michigan driver’s license are required.
Utility Technicians perform entry-level utility work with appropriate equipment, maintaining and cleaning facilities, and routine outdoor groundskeeping tasks. Technicians may also be given opportunities to shadow staff and perform entry-level work in water distribution, wastewater collection, wastewater plant operations, and utility maintenance.
