Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Utility Technician I to support our water, wastewater and drainage facility operations. You will perform general labor tasks, assist with inspections, maintenance, and on-site repairs under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. You will handle basic maintenance tools and contribute to safe, reliable utility services for our communities.

Utility Technician I

The Utility Technician I is responsible for performing various general labor activities that provide assistance at the jobsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repairs and maintains items on water, wastewater and drainage facilities.
• Makes scheduled inspections.
• Performs lawn and gardening maintenance and repair.
• Shovels dirt and gravel.
• Maintains inventory of parts and maintenance supplies.
• Cleans office including vacuuming, sweeping, trash pickup, bathroom/kitchen clean up.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evening and 24-hour emergency on call.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or ged.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid Driver’s License and maintains insurable driving record.

TECHNICAL:

Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures & safety practices. Ability to perform routine maintenance/repairs. Ability to work with required tools (including jack hammer, demolishing saw, etc.). Comfortable in and around water/raw sewage.

COMMUNICATION:

Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.
