Job summary

United Site Services is seeking a Utility Technician to operate Class A, B, and/or C vehicles (pumper, P&D, fence, container trucks) to support daily site needs. You will service portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, showers, and related equipment at various work sites.

This full-time role requires a minimum of two years of commercial driving experience and a valid CDL or non-commercial license. You must maintain logs, communicate with dispatch, follow safety rules, and may lead fence

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspections and report deficiencies.

• Service portable restrooms, holding tanks, septic tanks, sinks, showers at various sites.
• Maintain truck logs and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Operate additional trucks (fence, tanker) as needed and assist on fence jobs.
• Update tickets with delivery or pick-up details.

Primary Purpose

The Utility Technician will operate various Class A, B, and/or C vehicles (pumper truck, P&D truck, fence truck, container truck, etc.) in support of the operation's needs.

Essential Functions

• Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to shop immediately.
• Report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Operations Manager.
• Operate service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
• Services portable restrooms, holding tanks, septic tanks, sinks, showers, etc., at various work sites following the Company's servicing guidelines.
• Notify management of any issues encountered on back-up route assigned.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc.
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Follow all established safety rules & regulations.
• Operate flat bed truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information to deliver or pick-up portable restroom units, hand sinks, holding tanks or containers.
• Update tickets with relevant delivery or pick-up detail.
• Operate fence truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information to deliver or pick-up fence (chain link, panel, materials, etc.).
• Act as a lead on fence jobs where a crew is assigned to the job/truck and operate fence installation equipment.
• Operate tanker/transfer truck to and from local dump and complete required paperwork as necessary.
• Special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial).

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Push 100 lbs and pull 100 lbs horizontally.

Salary Range

$21.66 – $30.33 / hour

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
