Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Utility Specialist to perform water and tank cleaning duties and help monitor regulatory compliance at our Mont Belvieu facility. The role includes overseeing waste handling, site sanitation, and coordination of up to 10 direct reports.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and TWIC card, with responsibilities spanning routine operations, safety, and incident response. On-site work with potential physical tasks is expected.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement.
• Must have a valid driver's license and TWIC card.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with waste handling.

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain trash route for trash truck throughout facility.
• Monitor and maintain facility rain outfalls.
• Direct the Containers Storage Area (CSA).
• Monitor vacuum trucks with chemical and water, including oil spills, berms for exchanger work, skim life stations, and maintaining sumps and containments throughout facility.
• Daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Assist with tank cleaning during spills and site waste transportation.
• Collect time sheets for up to 10 direct reports.
• Comply with all quality policies, regulations and instructions.

Utility Specialist

Must be able to maintain and monitor water and Tank cleaning efforts while staying compliant with RCRA disposal, DOT regulations, and HAZWOPER certifications. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain trash route for trash truck throughout facility.
• Monitor and maintain facility rain outfalls.
• Responsible for directing the Containers Storage Area (CSA).
• Monitor vacuum trucks with chemical and water, including oil spills, berms for exchanger work, skim life stations, and maintaining sumps and containments throughout facility.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Support tank cleaning efforts during spills.
• Shipping and transportation of site waste.
• Responsible for staff and collecting time sheets on up to 10 direct reports.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
