Job summary

The City of Henderson is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Department of Utility Services to lead electrical engineering efforts for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure and to drive the energy management program. The role requires Nevada Professional Engineer licensure and strong project coordination skills.

This is a full-time, hybrid position with a chance for remote work up to two days per week and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job description

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Utility Services Senior Electrical Engineer in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.

Under general supervision, plans, coordinates, and performs professional electrical engineering activities relating to water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure and the development and maintenance of the energy management program for Department of Utility Services; and performs related duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive Salary Range of $102,942.42 - $154,413.62 annually; salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity

The selection process will entail Subject Matter Experts reading and scoring your responses to supplemental questions 12-16, and your answers will be the sole determining factor for placement on the eligibility list for this classification. Subject Matter Experts will NOT have access to any information besides the answers to questions 12-16. This means they will not have access to applications, résumés, or any other identifying information when scoring.
