Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking an accomplished Utility-Scale Trenching Division Manager to lead and grow our Trenching Division across the United States. This executive role focuses on delivering safe, productive trenching and underground conduit installation while developing leaders and strengthening customer relationships.

Location options include Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR, with travel to project sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy civil or underground utility construction experience.
• Proven experience leading multiple trenching crews and large-scale underground utilities.
• Strong knowledge of high-production trenching, bedding, backfilling, and restoration practices.
• Experience operating Tesmec/Vermeer trenchers and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for trenching operations across multiple projects.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of field leaders.
• Lead all aspects of trenching and underground conduit installation.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and resources for project execution.
• Drive safety, quality, and productivity across the division.
