Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is hiring for a remote Utility Project Support Specialist to assist a Danville, IL area client. This part-time, 20 hours/week position provides training and focused customer support for utility project notifications, with a 12-month term that can be extended.

You will manage calls, inquiries, and data using company tools, while building trust with customers and delivering accurate information. Training is provided to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • 1–3 years in a customer interface or call center environment.
  • Ability to work part-time shifts (8AM–12PM, 11AM–3PM, or 2PM–6PM ET).

Job description

ERM is hiring remote Utility Project Support Specialists to support our client based in the Danville, IL area. In this critical role, you will be supporting the client by handling customer inquiries in response to our client’s utility line project notifications. Project information and training will be provided so that calls can be handled in an efficient manner. This is a remote part-time (20 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 12 months, extendable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • One (1) to three (3) years minimum working in a Customer Interface or Call Center environment
  • Ability to work part-time shifts (8AM – 12PM, 11AM – 3PM, or 2PM – 6PM ET)

Pay Transparency: For the Utility Project Support Specialist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $58,240 – $72,800, or $28.00-$35.00 USD/hr USD, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above.

This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible).

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life & disability insurance to benefits eligible* employees. *Benefits Eligibility is limited to Regular employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week. Fixed-Term employees (including Flexforce) who are regularly scheduled to work 20 hours a week or more are eligible for a limited benefits package. Casual employees are NOT benefits eligible.
