Xcel Energy is seeking a Pricing Analyst to develop and execute major pricing and costing strategies, support rate design proposals, and contribute to regulatory filings. The role involves financial and market analysis and leading pricing analysts in a collaborative, regulated environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and multiple years of pricing experience, with strong modeling skills and GAAP understanding.

Position Summary

Responsible for the development and execution of major pricing and costing strategies. Provide technical and regulatory expertise in the development and presentation of major rate design proposals and regulatory filings. Performs financial and market analysis. Oversee the work of other pricing analysts.

Essential Responsibilities

• Development and execution of pricing strategies. Lead project teams to develop and prepare rate design proposals and regulatory filings.
• Integrate with managers, sales, product developers and regulatory departments to develop and execute pricing plans and pricing products.
• Leads analysis of financial and market data to solve complex pricing problems.
• Primary participant in creating competitive pricing models.
• Develop pricing solutions and profitability analysis.
• Develop and analyze risk management strategies.

Minimum Requirements

• Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related area
• 6 years experience in a related area may substitute for the degree
• 5 years experience in regulatory pricing General knowledge of competitive energy markets and retail energy service provider strategies and operations Advanced computer modeling skills.
• Preferred Xcel Energy Pricing experience

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of GAAP
• Understanding of uniform system of accounts (FERC)
• Understanding of cost-of-service revenue requirements and rate making
• Experience preparing testimony in regulated environment
• Experience navigating multiple stakeholder interests
• Presenting on technical topics

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $112,200.00 to $147,600.00 per year
