Spire is seeking a Utility Plant Technician to support operations in St. Louis, MO. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, compressors, and associated auxiliary equipment located within facilities, outdoor installations, and underground pits/vaults. The role also supports equipment and processes related to natural gas injection and withdrawal, oil field production, propane transportation, and NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) pipeline operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient system performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Constructs, tests, alters or improves diverse piping, valving, and machinery components.
• Operates all machine shop and automated equipment when required.
• Inspects and maintains all Gas Supply Department equipment.
• Uses all hand and power tools and equipment.
• Burns and cuts with oxyacetylene.
• Welds structural steel with electric arc welder or MIG welder.
• Assists others and performs less skilled work as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
