University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Utility Plant Operator within Utility and Energy Services. The role operates District Energy Plant and Satellite Plant systems for heating, cooling, and power generation, monitors equipment, maintains turnover reports, and mentors junior operators.

This essential position requires shift work, after-hours coverage during emergencies, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. CU Boulder offers competitive salary and relocation support.

Competenze

4 years experience in District Energy or Central Plant steam and chilled water operations.
Hands-on experience with Electrical Generation/Distribution, Steam Generation/Distribution, and Chilled Water Generation/Distribution.
Experience with Distributed Control Systems (PLC/DCS).
Must have valid Driver's License and ability to pass required trainings.

Mansioni

Operate Heating, Cooling, and Power Generation Equipment following procedures and safety practices.
Monitor and adjust plant equipment and processes; perform routine inspections and log parameters.
Maintain and repair plant equipment; perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Administer lock-outs and tag-outs; control access; participate in safety trainings and meetings.
