Job summary

Meade Tractor is seeking a Utility Person in Bluefield, WV to assist in servicing agricultural and turf equipment. You will participate in on-the-job training, perform basic repairs under supervision, and help unload/load equipment on the yard and local areas.

The role requires knowledge of repair methods, engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and the ability to lift 75 lbs. A high school diploma and valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of repair methods for outdoor/agricultural equipment.
• Understanding engines, hydraulics, power-trans, AC and electrical systems.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic service tasks as assigned, including equipment setup.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development.
• Pick up and deliver customer equipment (Non CDL).
• Assists senior technicians as needed.
• Maintains condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment.
• Keeps a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Follows safety rules in performing work assignments.
• Completes reports and forms for job assignments.
• Accounts for all time and materials used.
• May perform pre-delivery setup and inspection on new equipment.

UTILITY PERSON

Purpose:

Participates in on-the-job training and performs basic repairs of agricultural and turf equipment under the direction of General Manager. Also assists in unloading/loading of equipment on the yard and local.

Responsibilities:

• Performs basic service tasks as assigned to include set up of equipment.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Good skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
