The Utility Operator supplies and returns raw materials and parts between work-in-progress (WIP) areas and machines, ensuring accurate completion of all supporting documentation. This position also involves filling in at unmanned stations across qualified areas such as Assembly I, II, III and Machine Operators I, II, and III as needed on a day-to-day basis.
Alert Supervisor and maintenance personnel of any problems that may arise.
Make sure all materials are loaded into the machine in a quick, efficient manner so that downtime is limited.
Keep the work area clean, free from debris and compliant with 5S markings.
Follow safety rules and regulations
Maintain production and operate necessary equipment
Record production data
Perform quality inspections as needed
Train new team members on standard operation procedures as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by management
HS Degree or GED
2-3 years of manufacturing experience
Basic troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to pass a tape measure test
Ability to work independently
May be required to lift up to approximately 40 pounds
Must be able to stand at work station for a long period of time
Must be able to use both hands in a repetitive motion
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles
Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions
