Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Plant Operator on an assigned shift to support electro-static precipitator systems, fly ash conveyance, and routine plant operations. You will assist peers, perform cleaning, and help maintain tools in a safe, orderly environment.

The role requires an associate degree in electronics/electromechanical or equivalent, plus a valid state driver’s license and ability to read blueprints. Safety compliance is emphasized throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, electromechanical, or equivalent technical specialty.
• Must hold a valid State Driver's License.
• Ability to read simple blueprints/specifications and operate plant tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate minor and routine plant duties, support ESPs and fly ash conveyance systems.
• Assist workers in daily operations, maintenance tasks, and structural upkeep.
• Perform general plant cleaning, inspect shipments and parts, maintain tools and vehicles.
• Investigate safety issues and follow OSHA and other safety rules on shift.

About the role:

Perform on assigned shift, operating duties of a minor or routine nature, support operation of electro-static precipitators and fly ash conveyance systems, plant cleaning, assist workers of equal or higher classification in work pertaining to plant operation, as required and assigned, if qualified.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Operations: Perform minor and routine operating duties, and support the operations of electro-static precipitators and fly ash conveyance systems.
• Assistance: Assist workers of equal or higher classification in daily plant operations, maintenance tasks, and structural upkeep.
• Maintenance & Cleaning: Execute general plant cleaning, inspect shipments and parts for accuracy, and maintain tools and vehicles in a safe, orderly condition.
• Safety & Compliance: Investigate complaints, strictly adhere to federal/state safety laws (OSHA), and ensure safe work practices are followed across the assigned shift.

Qualifications

• Education: A two-year associate degree in electronics, electromechanical, or an equivalent technical specialty is generally required.
• License: Must hold a valid State Driver's License.
• Skills: Must be able to read and work from simple blueprints/specifications and possess the physical ability to learn and use required plant tools
