Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an enthusiastic Utility Operator to join our service center team in Harvey, IL. The role involves cleaning, stripping and painting AC/DC motor parts during disassembly and assembly, using a variety of equipment to clean internal and external motor parts while coordinating with the winding department.

You will follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and operate tools and equipment (steam cleaners, sand-blasters, VPI systems, burnout ovens) to prepare parts

Qualifications

• Ability to perform stripping operations to prepare A/C and D/C motor parts and components for repair and assembly.
• Operate material handling equipment such as fork trucks and cranes to deliver or store motors and parts.
• Follow safety procedures and use required protective gear.
• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
• Demonstrate ability to fill out and follow procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Cleans internal and external parts of motors, frames, cores, armatures, gears, housings and other equipment for repair.
• Operate cleaning equipment (steam cleaners, parts washers, sand-blaster).
• Operate repair equipment (dip tanks, VPI systems, burnout ovens).
• Handle materials with fork trucks and cranes to move motors and parts.
• Paint repaired assembled motors before shipping to customer.

As an Utility Operator for IPS, it is important that you are up to the task of cleaning, stripping and painting AC/DC motor parts during the disassembly and assembly stages of the repair process. You will use a variety of equipment to clean internal and external motor parts and distribute them where necessary in the service center. You will work especially close with the winding department while sand blasting. It is required that you follow all safety procedures and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment when applicable.Cleans internal and external parts of motors, frames, cores, armatures, gears, housings and other equipment for repairOperate cleaning equipment including but not limited to: steam cleaner, parts washers, sand-blaster, etc.Operate specialized repair equipment including but not limited to: dip tanks, VPI systems and controlled temperature burnout and bake-out ovens as well as various handheld power and non-power toolsClean internal and external parts of motors to include frames, cores, armatures, gears, housings and other equipment for repairOperate material handling equipment such as fork truck and cranes, etc., to aid in delivering or storing motors and partsPaint repaired assembled motors before shipped back to the customerObserve all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
