Job summary

Microwave Techniques in Gorham, Maine, is seeking a Utility Metal Finisher to join our team. The role works with a variety of tools and finishing techniques to produce precision components for RF and microwave products.

You will deburr, sand, blend, lap flanges, tumble parts, and apply surface finishes to metals, ensuring dimensional accuracy and high-quality surfaces. The shift is Monday through Friday, 6am–2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in deburring, sanding and blending of parts to high finish quality.
• Ability to apply surface finishes to aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel.
• Comfort with using hand, air and power tools in finishing processes.

Responsibilities

• Deburring, sanding, and blending parts to required specifications.
• Lapping flange faces flat.
• Tumble parts for finishing.
• Sandblasting using a cabinet sandblast.
• Apply surface finishes to metal parts as directed.
• Clean and wash parts; some light assembly.
• Maintain tools and keep work area clean and organized.
• Manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Microwave Techniques is seeking a Utility Metal Finisher to join our team here in Gorham. This position works with a variety of tools and techniques to play a critical role in the machining and manufacture of precision high-end products.

• RF and microwave circulators, isolators, and ferrite components

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deburring, sanding, and blending - polishing parts using hand tools, air and power tools.


• Lapping flange faces flat


• Tumble parts


• Sandblasting using a cabinet sandblaster


• Use tank farm in cleaning parts for secondary operation and prior to assembly and paint


• Apply surface finishes to aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel


• Clean and wash parts


• Some light assembly


• Maintain tools used and work area is in a clean and orderly condition.


• Able to manage multiple projects and activities concurrently to achieve desired outcomes.


• Has high attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

The shift in Gorham, Maine is Monday through Friday 6am – 2:30pm.
