Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across services, products, and customer interactions. Team members enjoy weekly pay and scheduling flexibility as part of Meijer's Rewards program.

You will assist with cart management, trash collection, and basic cleaning while collaborating with service desks and multiple store departments to ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at service desk and checkout lanes.
• Return carts from parking lot to store interior.
• Help with parking lot and store trash collection.
• Perform basic store cleaning and upkeep.
• Coordinate with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
