Job summary

Brandenburg Industrial Svc Co is seeking a Utility Locator/Electrician for the Mid-Atlantic Division in Bethlehem, PA. This full-time, hourly role involves identifying utilities, disconnecting and reconnecting electrical power, and performing panel work with strict safety standards.

Candidates should have a HS diploma, 3–5 years of industrial electrician experience, and completion of an apprenticeship or electrical trade school. Travel up to 95% is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of industrial electrician experience in troubleshooting and disconnecting electrical control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and verify utilities for disconnect (electricity, water, steam, gas, sewer).
• Disconnect & connect electrical power supply wiring and conduit for equipment.
• Perform control panel disassembly/assembly, wiring and connections.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring and components, water/steam/gas/sewer systems.
• Complete testing and quality inspections using multimeters and equipment.
• Study blueprints/schematics to determine procedures.
• Work in PPE in all weather conditions.
• Access and repair components on heavy equipment and ladders.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements

• Identification and verification of utilities for disconnect. These utilities will include electricity, domestic water, steam, natural gas, storm sewer and sanitary sewer
• Disconnect & connect electrical power supply wiring and conduit for welders, motor control centers, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, presses, hydraulic components, kilns, etc.
• Perform control panel disassembly & assembly, wiring and connections
• Perform troubleshooting on electrical wiring and components, water, steam, natural gas, and sewer systems
• Complete testing and quality inspections using multimeters and other equipment.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine disconnect & connection utility procedures
• Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift, in all weather conditions
• Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
• Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
• Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
• Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and/or reach frequently

Education / Experience

Candidates must have a HS Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years experience. Completion of Apprenticeship or electrical trade school education.3 years of industrial electrician experience in troubleshooting and disconnecting electrical control equipment.
