Job summary

Brandenburg Industrial Svc Co is hiring a Utility Locator/Electrician for the Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves identifying utilities, disconnect/connect tasks, and panel work with strong safety practices.

Requires a HS diploma, 3–5 years of industrial electrician experience, and completion of an apprenticeship or electrical trade school. Travel can be up to 95% with benefits including health, life, disability, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in industrial electrician work.
• Completion of Apprenticeship or electrical trade school.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Identify and verify utilities for disconnect (electricity, water, steam, gas, sewers).
• Disconnect/connect electrical power supply wiring and conduit for equipment.
• Disassemble/assemble control panels and perform wiring.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring and components in utilities.
• Complete testing and quality inspections with multimeters and equipment.
• Study specifications to determine disconnect/connection procedures.
• Work in PPE in all weather conditions and environments.
• Climb, kneel, bend, lift and move in restricted spaces.

Full-Time, Hourly Position; Hourly Range $35.00-$40.00 Per hour. Medical & Dental Benefits. Life & Disability Benefits, 401(k), Paid Time Off.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements:

• Identification and verification of utilities for disconnect. These utilities will include electricity, domestic water, steam, natural gas, storm sewer and sanitary sewer
• Disconnect & connect electrical power supply wiring and conduit for welders, motor control centers, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, presses, hydraulic components, kilns, etc.
• Perform control panel disassembly & assembly, wiring and connections
• Perform troubleshooting on electrical wiring and components, water, steam, natural gas, and sewer systems
• Complete testing and quality inspections using multimeters and other equipment.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine disconnect & connection utility procedures
• Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift, in all weather conditions
• Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
• Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
• Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
• Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and/or reach frequently

Education / Experience:

Candidates must have a HS Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years experience. Completion of Apprenticeship or electrical trade school education.3 years of industrial electrician experience in troubleshooting and disconnecting electrical control equipment.
