Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a field-based locator to identify underground utilities and safely document locations. This role requires outdoor work in varying weather and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

You will read maps and blueprints, use company-provided vehicles and equipment, and close tickets with accurate documentation. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficient with computers and basic software.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately and safely.
• Search designated areas for underground utilities and document locations; photograph each locate.
• Read maps and blueprints to guide locating work.
• Use company vehicle, equipment, and laptop to document and close tickets.

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

Responsible for locating, pinpointing the paths of cables, pipes and other conduits that carry utilities underground. Our efforts are driven on Quality and Safety to protect underground utilities from damage during excavation.

Qualifications

• - Able and willing to work outdoors in a various weather conditions.
• - Computer proficiency.
• - Able to work in a confined space, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• - Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• - Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities
• - Thoroughly search for underground Utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• - Read maps & Blue prints
• - Using a company provided vehicle, equipment, and laptop to document, and close all tickets.
