Job summary

USIC LLC is seeking diligent utility locators to identify and map underground services in the Little Rock area. You will locate utilities, mark precise positions, document findings, and photograph each locate.

This role requires outdoor work, good communication, and adherence to safety protocols. You will work daytime, full-time with a 48-hour turnaround and be eligible for overtime, weekend, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willing to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive role).
• Excellent reading skills for tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and operate in confined spaces.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication with colleagues, contractors and homeowners.

Job description

Pay: $20.00 hourly.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time positions with a 48-hour turnaround and flexibility for overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Computer proficiency.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
