Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, background, and MVR checks.

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily tasks via mobile work system.
• Be available for on-call, overtime, and occasional nights/weekends.

ELM Technicians are essential in their communities, ensuring that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well-maintained. Starting wages for this position will be $25.50-$32.00 depending on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
• Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check. ***Please note: This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of Marijuana remains a drug listed in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, and the use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
• High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• Must possess a valid passport or an enhanced driver's license to facilitate occasional travel across the Canadian border for work-related assignments.
