ELM Utility Services in Apple Valley, MN is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to help ensure gas, electric, and communications lines are accurately located and marked to prevent dig-ins. You will operate from a company vehicle and use LaunchPoint software to manage daily tasks.

Applicants must pass pre-employment checks and be prepared for on-call shifts, overtime, and occasional night/weekend work. A team of 1900+ nationwide supports this essential field role.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position; comply with Federal DOT regulations; marijuana prohibited.
• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, complete a route of locate requests each day.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
• Use your mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends when necessary.

Starting wages for this position will be $25.00-$31.00 depending on experience.
