Bosch is seeking team members for facility waste management and material handling in Norman, Oklahoma. The role requires following EHS guidelines, operating forklifts, and maintaining a clean, safe yard and compactor area.
Responsibilities include adhering to SWP3, supporting spill cleanup, and collaborating with the EHS Manager to ensure efficient, compliant waste operations across multiple shifts.
This position reports to and workswith the EHS Managertoassistinmaintainingthe facility cleanliness and waste managementoperations.Perform a variety of functions tocontrol, separate, clean andmaintainthe compactor area, scrap metal areas, as well as general facility yard areas.Organizational skills and abilities to communicate efficiently and effectively are of paramount importance.Ability tomaintainand take responsibility for the assigned areas.
Available Shifts
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Receive oral and/or written instructions fromEHSManager.
Separate and coordinate trash, cardboard, and metals toappropriate disposalbins.
Monitortrash and cardboard compactors to ensurenocontamination.
Checkmaterialfordefective conditions, report non-conformitiestoEHS Manager.
Safely move materialto disposal locations
Follow all SWP3 best management practices
Conduct yardinspections, cleaning andmaintaininga trash free facility.
Conduct cleanup of trash/material from the compactor dock areas, barrel shed, scrap metalopentop containers.
Maintain a clean and organized waste area. (trash/cardboard compactors, scrap metal open tops, barrel shed, anyadditionaldisposal containers)
Perform routineperformancechecks on the material handling equipmentsuch aschecking horn, tires, lights,forksandframe.
Exercise great caution andmaintainalertness at all timeswhen operatingforklifttruck in order toavoid injury to pedestrians, other drivers,self and/ordamage to materials.
Manage thedumping ofplant widetrash/cardboard bins into their designated compactor.

Assistancewith Spill Response and clean up
Other dutiesasassigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to organize work, meetdeadlinesand work with accuracy.
Ability to perform manual labor such as shoveling, sweeping, bending,
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills for coordinating daily waste management and reporting issues.
Ability tosafelyoperatedock equipment,Forkliftand pallet jacks, compactor.
Willingness to take pride and responsibility of their assigned areas
Basic recordkeeping and reporting skills usingspreadsheetor inspection form.
Knowledge and/or willingness to learn sustainable waste management practices,BestmanagementPractices forSWP3 (StormwaterPollutionPreventionPlan),RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act),SPCC (Spill Prevention Controls andCountermeasures).
Knowledge of Chemicalmaterial movement handling

Weight amounts may vary from 5 pounds to 50pounds,any amount over 50 pounds requires physical or mechanical help.Continuous movement of arms and repetitious twisting motions of upper and lower back to move and reposition load(s), clean material off floor level. Must be able to step up onforktruck several times per shift and useupperbody to support body weight when steppinguponforktruck. Continuous mental/visual demandrequiredextensively whenoperatingforktruck. Varieddegreesof mental demand required when organizing bins/pallets inworkarea.
