Job summary
AOI in Sugar Land, Texas, seeks a Utility Engineer to oversee plant-wide utility systems including chillers, boilers, DI water, and vacuum systems. You will coordinate new project scopes, supervise construction, and support commissioning and handover for cleanroom utilities.
Ideal candidates have a Mechanical/Chemical/Facilities Engineering background with 2+ years in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing utilities, and experience with BAS/PLC systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Facilities Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial utility within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, water treatment, compressors, vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, and piping.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate new project reviews, on-site supervision, commissioning, acceptance, and handover for utility systems in new cleanrooms.
- Manage plant-wide utility infrastructure including chillers, boilers, DI water, CDA, PCW, circulating water, and drainage.
- Develop SOPs and preventive maintenance plans; monitor energy, flow, and load to ensure stable utility supply.
- Lead root-cause analyses of shutdowns; oversee capital renovation and capacity expansion projects.
- Provide technical guidance to operation teams and standardize maintenance workflows to reduce downtime.
