Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a CDL-A licensed driver to operate diesel tractors hauling live poultry and materials between facilities. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, comply with DOT regulations, and maintain strong safety and attendance records.

The role requires excellent English communication, basic math, and the ability to follow instructions while working independently. Forklift operations may be required on-site.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A Driver's License.
• High school diploma or GED or minimum of 2 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Drives diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport live poultry, transport trailers of raw materials between company facilities, jockey trailers on property, and transport finished poultry products, or any combination assigned by Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to log in compliance to DOT regulations.
• Ability to pre and post trip equipment
• Excellent communication skills with ability to speak the English language.
• Proficient reading, writing skills, and simple mathematics.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• Must be able to follow instructions, be very flexible and work independently.
• Ability to handle road situations when they occur.
• Ability to operate forklift.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must have a valid Class A Driver's License

High school diploma or GED equivalent; or minimum of 2 years of experience.
