Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. seeks a Utility Coordinator for our North Charleston office to support the South and North Carolina Utilities Team. You will coordinate utility relocations, review design data, and collaborate with DOTs and municipalities to keep projects on schedule.

The role involves field and office work, 30% field time, and occasional travel. A high school diploma is acceptable with experience; advanced education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze survey information, drawings, blueprints, etc.
• Organize and review design information from multiple utility sources for accuracy.
• Conduct meetings to reach schedule milestones.
• Use CAD/engineering software to prepare Utility by Others plans and documents.
• Maintain favorable relationships with utility companies and DOTs, counties and municipalities.
