The Utility associate role at HMSHost is responsible for a range of tasks to ensure sanitary operation, including cleaning equipment and spaces, loading/unloading supplies, and maintaining proper storage. You will load and unload trucks, stock, and assist in meal service, while following safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

This non-exempt position reports to management and participates in a team driven by guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to bend, twist and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Interacts with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Reads and comprehends instructions, short correspondence and policy documents.
• Handles hands in water and chemical solutions as part of cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cleans equipment such as worktables, refrigerators and blocks.
• Cleans utensils and pots, by hand or in a dishwasher.
• Clears, sanitizes and resets tables; transports soiled ware to kitchen for cleaning.
• Returns clean utensils and pots to proper places.
• Loads and unloads supply trucks; handles trash and garbage.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and buffs floors; maintains clean work areas.
• Follows all security and safety procedures established by the Company.
