Utility

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Utility Worker to join our team at the State Fair Community College location. The Utility position is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes or pans by hand or dish machine.
• Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Unload grocery deliveries or transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Clean equipment and facilities using specific chemicals to ensure safety and sanitary standards.
• Comply with all HACCP and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills And Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a utility or maintenance role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
