Job summary

Montebello Container, a division of New-indy, is seeking a general labor associate for our La Mirada, CA facility. You will support packaging operations, assemble items including foam and corrugated materials, read production orders, and perform quality checks throughout the shift.

The role requires basic math, tape measure reading, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will work around moving machines in a loud, humid environment and must follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Knowledge equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
• Read and interpret product layout and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Count and stack finished product.
• Read factory orders.
• Read gauges and other test equipment.
• Use basic shop math and inspect.
• Complete quality and administrative documents and follow directions.
• Clean up functions around machines and area (blowing down, sweeping, vacuuming).
• Apply proper load tags.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.

SUMMARY: Responsible for general labor duties, including the proper disposal of all waste materials and recyclable paper products throughout the facility.
