Job summary

Lamb Weston, Inc. is seeking a dedicated team member to support potato inspection, trimming, and line duties in a fast-paced production environment.

You will rotate tasks under the Team Leader and perform rework when needed, while maintaining quality and safety standards on the production floor. Responsibilities include inspecting bags for proper seals, verifying codes, and assisting in line setup and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively and understand both verbal and written instructions.
• Must have a basic mechanical aptitude.
• Understands basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to move up and down stairs throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect potatoes for quality, trim rot, skin and defects.
• Inspect and remove FM and unpeeled potatoes as directed.
• Sort and remove defects from frozen inspection per supervisor.
• Verify bag codes and seals; shut down baggers if issues arise.
• Build and tear down totes; perform rework when line is down.
• Maintain clean workspace and shadow boards; participate in daily risk assessments.

Job Description Summary

Under the supervision of a Team Leader this position is responsible for the efficient inspection, trimming of potatoes/fries, halving potatoes, reworking of restricted product, frozen inspection and bag inspection. This will have varying responsibilities depending on their rotation. Specific duties will be rotated through and assigned by the Team Leader. Perform all AMD activities as needed.

Job Description

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• May be instructed by Team Leader to inspect out rot.
• Responsible for trimming rot, skin and other defects from potatoes.
• Responsible for inspecting and removing FM.
• Responsible for sorting out unpeeled potatoes.
• Responsible for removing defects from frozen inspection if directed by a Team Leader.
• Responsible for pulling and cleaning screens when line is down and as directed.
• Responsible for building totes as directed.
• Responsible for performing rework when line is down.
• Responsible for inspecting bags for proper seals.
• Responsible for verifying bag code.
• Needs to know how to shut down the baggers if there is an issue with the bags.
• Responsible for cleaning during breaks in lineflow.
• Responsible for building/tearing down totes as required.
• Responsible for recouping cases as needed.
• Responsible for performing rework as needed.
• Check all shadow boards in area.
• Must attend 2 Daily Risk Assessment meeting per day.
• Must understand LOTO.
• Must follow all plant and job specific safety duties.
• Maintain good personal hygiene.
• Works weekend cleanups as assigned.
• Keeps all tools and equipment not in use in their assigned locations.
• Aides in the training of newer employees as directed by the supervisory staff.
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
