Sagora is seeking a Utility team member at Asher Point in Arlington to maintain dining room and kitchen cleanliness, assist the Culinary Director, and ensure a hospitable environment for residents and guests.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, setup, serving meals, and monthly deep-cleaning. Requires at least 6 months in a commercial kitchen and a valid food handler’s permit; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Must have food handler’s permit as required by state/local authority.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and communicate with residents and staff in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect dishes and kitchen utensils from tables during meals.
• Wash dishes and utensils to high cleanliness standards.
• Remove cracked or broken items to prevent hazards.
• Monitor dishwasher temperature and report issues.
• Set up tables and beverage station; refill condiments.
• Assist with meal preparation and decoration under direction.
• Serve meals promptly and courteously; deliver to residents’ rooms as needed.
• Dispose of trash properly; deep-clean kitchen monthly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in fridge and freezer each evening.

Notify the Culinary Director promptly of any unacceptable temperature readings.Remove from service all cracked or broken dishes or damaged utensils that might be hazardous to residents.
